The investment seeks to track the investment results of the Morningstar US Small Cap Broad Value Extended IndexSM composed of small-capitalization U.S. equities that exhibit value characteristics. The fund generally invests at least 90% of its assets in securities of the underlying index and in depositary receipts representing securities of the underlying index. The underlying index measures the performance of stocks issued by small-capitalization companies that have exhibited above-average âvalueâ characteristics as determined by Morningstar, Inc.âs (âMorningstarâ or the âindex providerâ) proprietary index methodology.
