The company operates through four segments: Clean Energy, Trading in Securities, Investments, and Trading of Bulk Commodities. It operates solar power plants and distributed solar power stations. In addition, the company trades in solid, liquid, and gaseous fuels, as well as other related products; and bulk commodities derivatives. The company was formerly known as Rising Development Holdings Limited and changed its name to China Smarter Energy Group Holdings Limited in February 2015. China Smarter Energy Group Holdings Limited was incorporated in 1997 and is headquartered in Wan Chai, Hong Kong.
