Its lead compound is RLF-100 (aviptadil), a synthetic human vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) with a multifaceted mode of action for respiratory indications, which is in Phase 3 clinical trials for treating COVID-19-induced acute respiratory distress syndrome and moderate to severe COVID-19 lung injury; in Phase 1 clinical trial for the treatment of patients with acute lung injury in other intensive care unit; and in Phase 2 clinical trial for the treatment of pulmonary sarcoidosis. The company is also developing ACER-001, a proprietary powder formulation of sodium phenylbutyrate, which has completed Phase 3 clinical trial for urea cycle disorders; and in Phase 1 clinical trial for the treatment of maple syrup urine disease.
