Sociedad Matriz SAAM S.A. provides towage, port terminals, and logistics services. Its Towage segment provides berthing and de-berthing, assistance, security guards, salvage, and harbor towage services; oil and gas platforms positioning and anchoring services; and specialized services for ships at offshore terminals. This segment operates through a fleet of 153 tugboats at 69 ports in 9 countries, including Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay. The company's Port Terminals segment offers dockage/wharfage, stevedoring, and terminal logistics services. This segment also operates ten ports in the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, and Chile. Its Logistics and Others segment provides trucking, warehousing, bonded warehouse, and value-added services in Colombia, Ecuador, Uruguay, and Chile; and airport services, such as cargo and passenger services, as well as cold storage services at eight airports in Chile, Ecuador, and Colombia.
